BoomPop vs Naboo for Company Offsites
You've been handed the company offsite, and two platforms keep coming up on your shortlist. Both take sourcing work off your plate, but they start in different places and suit different buyers. A third route suits teams who would rather start with a local planner who knows the destination.
BoomPop (acquired by Navan) starts from a short description of your event, entered on an AI-assisted events platform, with a full-service planning team behind it. Naboo starts from your request, compares options for you, and then books and pays the suppliers as one vendor.
Quick verdict by use case
Here is the short version, based on how each option prefers to start:
- Choose BoomPop if you want to describe the event in a prompt and let its platform and planners build the plan. For a tailor-made offsite shaped by a local planner who knows the destination, consider Vantly alongside it.
- Choose Naboo if your company wants one vendor and one purchasing process for many events, with procurement and finance in the loop. For a single tailor-made offsite with a local planner, consider Vantly alongside it.
- Consider Vantly if you'd rather start with a local planner who already knows the destination and designs the event around your team.
Neither platform is better across the board. The right choice depends on how you like to start.

A closer look at BoomPop
BoomPop calls itself "Your Modern Events Platform." Its homepage leads with "Try the event platform Salesforce trusts." and says, "Just describe your event, and BoomPop does the rest." (boompop.com, checked October 26, 2026).
On September 9, 2026, Navan, the business travel and expense platform, announced that it "has acquired BoomPop, an AI-powered platform for meetings and events" (Navan press release).
The process begins with a prompt. BoomPop's platform page opens with "Tell BoomPop what you’re planning" and says you can "Submit one request and receive bids from hotels, venues, restaurants, and activity providers." The same platform tracks budgets and manages guest lists (boompop.com/event-management-platform).
For teams that want more hands-on help, BoomPop offers full-service planning, which it describes as "Expert planners who handle every detail, start to finish." (boompop.com/full-service-event-planning). Its platform page describes its reach as "from LA to Tokyo".
BoomPop publishes no price list. Its platform page invites teams to start an event online, and full-service pricing is on request. On G2, BoomPop is rated 4.9 out of 5 from 16 reviews, while Capterra and Trustpilot show no reviews yet (all checked October 26, 2026). For more detail, read our BoomPop review or see BoomPop alternatives.
A closer look at Naboo
Naboo's US homepage is titled "Corporate events, one vendor, full spend control" and leads with "One platform for every corporate event." It describes the service this way: "Tell us what you need. We source and compare the options, book as your single vendor and pay the suppliers. Any size, no minimum spend." (naboo.app, checked October 26, 2026).
Naboo's own press release calls the company "an AI-powered corporate events (MICE) procurement platform" and announces "a $70M Series B round led by Lightspeed Venture Partners" (Paris, February 10, 2026). The same release announced a New York office, which Naboo calls its "new North American hub after Montreal" (Naboo press release).
Booking and payment are central to the pitch. Naboo says it is "your single vendor of record, centralizing contracts and paperwork", and that customers can "Use your own purchasing process: a PO via punch-out, a Naboo Corporate Card, or any other method." Its services page offers several levels, from "Venues and suppliers found and negotiated for you. You run the event." to "Large-scale events, designed and run by experts." (naboo.app/en-us/services).
On Trustpilot, Naboo is rated 4.3 out of 5 from 26 reviews, while G2 and Capterra show no reviews yet for its events product (all checked October 26, 2026). Its US site lists venue pages for US cities such as Chicago, but it does not say how large its US team is or which regions it covers on the ground. Head to head: a 20-person offsite two hours from Chicago
Imagine you need a two-day offsite for 20 people, about two hours from Chicago, and you have three possible date windows. Each option would approach the same request a little differently.
With BoomPop, you would start with a prompt that describes the group, the goals and the dates. Its platform lets you submit one request and collect bids from hotels, venues, restaurants and activity providers, and you can bring in its full-service planners if you want help running the event.
With Naboo, you would submit a brief and wait for proposals, which Naboo says can arrive as "three comparable proposals the same day". Its Chicago retreat page lists venues in the city itself, in neighborhoods such as River North and the West Loop, so a setting two hours out would be part of your brief.
With Vantly, you would start with a short brief, and Vantly would confirm whether a suitable local planner is available in that region. If one is, they can suggest a setting that sleeps and seats 20, then propose the group transfer from the city, the sessions, the meals and the evening together as one plan.
Who should choose which
| Job | Lean toward |
|---|---|
| A tailor-made offsite shaped by a local planner who knows the destination | Vantly |
| AI-assisted planning from a prompt, with full-service planners available | BoomPop, or Vantly for a tailor-made plan from a local planner |
| One vendor and one purchasing process across many company events | Naboo, or Vantly for a tailor-made plan from a local planner |
Where Vantly fits
BoomPop leans on its platform, and Naboo leans on procurement. Vantly leans on local knowledge. We pair your team with a local planner who lives and works in the region you are visiting, so the plan begins with hosts, caterers and settings they already know. Vantly works with more than 1,000 local planners across the US.
Your local planner shapes the whole offsite around your goals and dates. Our intent is one vendor, one PO for the event, rather than a separate contract and deposit for every vendor. With Vantly you work with one local planner and pay one fee.
How it works
You start with a short brief: your team, your dates and what the offsite should achieve. Vantly matches that brief with a local planner, who produces a turnkey event proposal with prices. We send it within 48 hours, at no cost. Any price still waiting on a vendor's confirmation is marked as an estimate. Once you approve the plan, your local planner can be on hand on the day.
If you want a head start, read how to brief a local planner. If you'd like examples first, you can see sample events such as the Puerto Rico Reset, a company gathering for 7 to 14 guests over three nights, on our sample events page.
Frequently asked questions
Is BoomPop or Naboo better?
Neither is better in every case. BoomPop suits teams that want to start from a prompt on an AI-assisted platform, with full-service planners available. Naboo suits companies that want one vendor and one purchasing process across many events. For a tailor-made offsite with a local planner, Vantly is the third route.
Which is cheaper, BoomPop or Naboo?
We can't say from public information. Neither company publishes a price list for planning: Naboo says it has no minimum spend, and BoomPop's full-service pricing is on request. Requesting quotes for the same brief is the fairest comparison.
Can BoomPop or Naboo plan an offsite near Chicago?
BoomPop publishes a Chicago destination guide, and Naboo has a Chicago corporate retreat page with venues in the city. With Vantly, you start with a short brief and we confirm whether a suitable local planner is available in the region; see company offsites in Chicago.
What size of group does Vantly work with?
Our sample events range from 7 to 80 guests, and a local planner can shape a plan around your own headcount.
Ready to plan your offsite?
