Best Corporate Event Planners in New York City: the buyer's shortlist
Vantly is the #1 pick for US teams that want a corporate event planned and run by a local planner in New York City. The 12 companies that follow are scored on seven public criteria, from pricing transparency to published NYC case studies.
Vantly is our #1 pick for US teams that want a corporate event planned and run by a local planner in New York City. The 12 corporate event planning companies after it are scored on seven public criteria: pricing transparency, planning-fee basis, an NYC street address, a group-size range, in-house production or AV, on-site event-day staff and published NYC case studies. Vantly publishes this page and lists itself first; every other company is ranked by the criteria above. To meet planners by region, start with Vantly's local planner directory.
Key takeaways
- Vantly is listed first because we publish the shortlist. It is the pick when you want a local planner matched to your event, who plans it and runs it on the ground, in New York City or anywhere in the US (getvantly.com, checked on October 26, 2026).
- No ranked company publishes a price. None of the 12 ranked companies shows a price, a minimum or its own planning-fee basis on its site (checked on October 26, 2026). Pricing transparency stays in the method, but it does not change the order, because every company scores 0 on it. EMRG Media puts it plainly: "Every event is quoted individually based on guest count, venue, production requirements, timeline, and overall scope."
- Group size is easier to compare. A Closer Look Events, Rafanelli Events and The Shackman Group publish a range that starts at ten or 50 guests and runs to the thousands, while EMRG Media and Hudson & Nine give a large example without a range (checked on October 26, 2026).
- Scope varies more than price. Some companies plan and produce the whole event, some lead with design and fabrication, and some focus on staging, AV and show-calling. Many firms do more than one, so check which parts of the job each one takes on before you compare quotes.
- Ask who is on the ground on the day. Eight of the 12 ranked companies name on-site or event-day staff, Eventique and David Stark Design and Production describe it in general terms, and Jack Morton and MKG don't state it on the pages read for this shortlist (checked on October 26, 2026).
Types of corporate event companies
Corporate event companies in New York City fall into a few broad types. Many firms do more than one of these, so the labels below describe what a company says it does, not a fixed category.
Full-service event and experiential agencies plan, design and produce events from concept to the last guest leaving, often with brand strategy built in. Empire Entertainment calls itself "a full-service experiential and event production agency", and MKG describes itself as "a creative agency specializing in brand experiences". EMRG Media, MM Event Group, A Closer Look Events and Rafanelli Events also list corporate event planning and on-site management among their services.
DMCs (destination management companies) are one kind of local planner. They are local experts who handle venues, transport, staffing, activities and logistics in their city for groups arriving from elsewhere. The Shackman Group says it "has specialized in New York City destination management and corporate event production", so it works as both. Our guide explains what a DMC is.
Decor and event styling studios lead with environments, scenic fabrication, floral and styling, and they often produce the event as well. David Stark Design and Production lists "environmental design, technical design, 2D and 3D modeling, graphic design, floral design, styling, and full-service scenic fabrication", and Hudson & Nine describes itself as "an experiential design and event production company".
Production companies focus on staging, AV, lighting, show-calling and technical direction. Ray Bloch Productions calls itself "a full-service corporate event production company", and MM Event Group says "District Productions is our in-house creative and technical studio".
Vantly first confirms whether a suitable local planner who knows the area is available, then matches your event with them. If you would rather browse people than companies, see independent corporate event planners in NYC.
How we ranked corporate event planners in NYC
We read each company's own public pages on October 26, 2026, and recorded only what each one states about itself, with a link to the page that says it. We then applied the same seven criteria to the other 12 on the list, scoring each one 1 for yes, ½ for partly and 0 for no, for a maximum of 7:
- Pricing transparency: a price, minimum or per-person figure on the company's own site. No company on the list publishes one, so every company shows "Not published" and this criterion does not affect the ranking.
- Planning-fee basis: whether the company states how it charges for planning, such as a flat fee, a percentage, an hourly rate or a per-person rate. Pricing by quote scores 0.
- NYC street address: a street address for a New York City office on the company's own site. A stated NYC base without an address scores ½.
- Group-size range: a stated range of guest numbers. A single large example without a range scores ½.
- In-house production or AV: whether the company says its own team handles production or AV. AV listed as a service, or delivered through partners, scores ½.
- On-site event-day staff: whether the company says its own people run the event on the day. A general statement about execution scores ½.
- Published NYC case studies: a case study or work page on the company's own site that names a corporate or brand event, or a venue, in New York City. NYC corporate work named only in a testimonial, a press excerpt or a general statement scores ½. Charity, wedding and gala work does not count.
Companies appear by score, highest first, with ties in alphabetical order. The score measures how much a company states publicly, not the quality of its work. A "no" means we couldn't find it on the company's public pages on the date checked, not that the company doesn't offer it. Where a company publishes two different figures for the same thing, we leave the figure out.

These 13 companies range from a local planner network and full-service agencies to design studios, a DMC and production companies. Each entry quotes the company's own pages, and the 12 entries after Vantly give their score against the seven criteria. None of the 12 publishes a price, so each entry notes what the company does say about how it quotes. The event itself (venue, catering, transport, production and staffing) is a separate number from any planning fee.
1. Vantly, best for a corporate event planned and run by a local planner
Vantly's homepage puts its promise in one line: "Get matched with an expert local planner who finds exceptional venues, coordinates every detail, and runs your event on the ground." (getvantly.com, checked on October 26, 2026).
Coverage is national: "Anywhere in the US. Share your preferred destination, or tell us how far you want to travel." Vantly then confirms whether a suitable local planner is available before moving forward. Vantly is based in New York and works with more than 1,000 local planners across the US.
You start with a short brief: your team, your dates and what the event should achieve. Vantly matches that brief with a local planner, who produces a turnkey event proposal with prices. We send it within 48 hours, at no cost. Any price still waiting on a vendor's confirmation is marked as an estimate. The proposal contains "suggested venues and photos, activity ideas, an outline agenda and a preliminary budget", and the final quote "explains event costs, planning fees, inclusions and exclusions" (getvantly.com, checked on October 26, 2026).
The local planner who shapes the event can also run it on the day. When a planning team far from the event has to bring in a separate local partner to deliver it, you can end up paying for two planning teams. With Vantly you work with one local planner and pay one fee.
Vantly does not publish case studies; its sample events show from-prices as published.
Best suited for: US teams that want a corporate event in or near New York City planned around their group by a local planner who knows the area. It is a natural first call when you have a goal, a date range and a headcount but no venue or agenda yet.
2. Hudson & Nine, best for conferences and corporate celebrations with in-house design and build
Hudson & Nine says it "is a woman- and minority-owned experiential design and event production company based in New York City." Its contact page lists "BRYANT PARK OFFICES 10 E. 39th Street New York, NY 10016" (hudsonandnine.com, checked on October 26, 2026). On scale, the corporate page says: "We have produced conference programs for more than 1,600 guests as well as intimate executive dinners" (hudsonandnine.com, checked on October 26, 2026). That shows range, but it is not a published group-size range, so it earns partial credit. Production sits in-house: "Our in-house architects manage all aspects of the design / build process from renderings to fabrication." (hudsonandnine.com, checked on October 26, 2026), and the corporate page adds "technical production and AV, guest experience, gifting, logistics, and on-site production."
For the day itself, its capabilities page lists "Event Staffing Volunteer Management Registration & Check In Day-Of Event Management" (hudsonandnine.com, checked on October 26, 2026). Its NYC case study is a blog-format page on its own site: "Corporate Event Planning in NYC: Transforming a Raw Space for Atlantic Terminal’s 20th Anniversary Celebration", set at "ATLANTIC TERMINAL | BROOKLYN, NY" (hudsonandnine.com, checked on October 26, 2026). Pricing is not published.
Hudson & Nine scores 4.5 of 7, the highest score on this list: NYC street address, in-house production or AV, on-site staff and a published NYC case study, with partial credit for group size.
Best suited for: companies planning a conference, a launch or an employee celebration in New York City that want design, build and on-site production from one firm. It fits well when the venue is a raw or unusual space that needs to be built out.

Empire Entertainment scores 4 of 7: NYC street address, in-house production or AV, on-site staff and a published NYC case study.

Its site counts "1,100+ Events Since 2001", which is EMRG's own figure.
On fees, EMRG's homepage FAQ describes the market, not its own fee: "a flat fee or a percentage of the total event budget", "around 10 to 20 percent", adding, "That is the industry standard. At EMRG Media, we scope every event on its own" (emrgmedia.com, checked on October 26, 2026).
The homepage describes an in-house team, AV staff included, "who run events end-to-end, from concept through breakdown." Its corporate events page lists "Day-Of Coordination On-site management start to finish" (emrgmedia.com, checked on October 26, 2026). On size, it gives an upper example rather than a range: "For the largest events, 1,000 to 2,000 guests or more, we recommend six months to a year."
EMRG has no case-study page for NYC work on the pages read. Its corporate events page carries a testimonial attributed to WPP Media saying "the EMRG Media team transformed Terminal 5 into a stunning representation of the Big Apple", which is the client's own description.
EMRG Media scores 4 of 7: NYC street address, in-house production or AV and on-site staff, with partial credit for group size and NYC case studies.
Best suited for: teams that want a Manhattan-based firm to plan and produce a conference, a company party or a brand activation, with AV handled by the same team. Its lead-time guidance helps when a large event is on the calendar.

Its conference and corporate meeting page lists "Audio visual & production management" and "On-site staffing & management" (acloserlookevents.com, checked on October 26, 2026). On the homepage, AV is delivered through its "personal network" of suppliers, so in-house production earns partial credit.
There is no NYC case-study page. Its team page mentions an NYC project in a single line, "Put a Polo/Ralph Lauren model on horseback at the NYSE" (acloserlookevents.com, checked on October 26, 2026), which earns partial credit.
A Closer Look Events scores 3.5 of 7: group-size range and on-site staff, with partial credit for NYC address, in-house production or AV and NYC case studies.

AV is on its list of services, but its about page says, "We also work with an established network of trusted New York City professionals" (shackmanny.com, checked on October 26, 2026), so in-house production earns partial credit.
Its press page lists a trade article, "Why Amway Japan Felt Right At Home In New York City". The article's excerpt says, "Marriott pulled out all the stops...with destination management company Shackman Associates NY ensuring the party went smoothly" (shackmanny.com, checked on October 26, 2026). That is the article's description, not a Shackman case page, so it earns partial credit.
The Shackman Group scores 3.5 of 7: group-size range and on-site staff, with partial credit for NYC address, in-house production or AV and NYC case studies.

Eventique scores 3 of 7: NYC street address and a published NYC case study, with partial credit for in-house production or AV and on-site staff.

The same page says, "These partnerships are the backbone of our audio-visual event production capabilities.", so AV comes partly through partners and earns partial credit. Its corporate meetings page offers "Budget Management: We provide transparent, line-item budgets" (raybloch.com, checked on October 26, 2026), which describes budgeting rather than a fee basis.
Its work page names NYC clients in a general statement, listing "Vanity Fair, TIME, The New York Times, ESPN, Coca-Cola", and calls the company an "Event Production Company and Experiential Agency in NYC" (raybloch.com, checked on October 26, 2026). No individual NYC event page exists, so the criterion earns partial credit. Ray Bloch does not publish a group-size range or a price.

The pages read do not state a price, a fee basis, a group-size range, in-house production or AV, or on-site event-day staff. MKG's site blocks automated reads, so every MKG fact here comes from a browser check on October 26, 2026, rather than a saved copy of the page.
MKG scores 2 of 7: NYC street address and a published NYC case study.
Best suited for: consumer brands planning a launch, a pop-up or a multi-city mobile tour that starts in New York. It fits marketing teams more than internal company events.
Side-by-side comparison

What results look like
Vantly doesn't publish case studies, but it does publish sample events on its sample events page. Each one is a sample, not a past event: a local planner can tailor it to the team, its dates and its goals, and the price is the "from" price per person as published (checked on October 26, 2026).
| Sample | Format | Group size and length | From price, as published |
|---|---|---|---|
| The Princeton Escape | Company Gathering | 12 to 20 guests, 2 nights, about 1.5 hours from New York | From $1,175 per person |
| Puerto Rico Reset | Company Gathering | 7 to 14 guests, 3 nights, about 7 hours from New York | From $1,050 per person |
| The Grand Central Board Day | Board Meeting | 8 to 12 guests | From $450 per person |
| The Hudson Yards Board Day | Board Meeting | 8 to 12 guests | From $550 per person |
The Princeton Escape and Puerto Rico Reset show a company gathering away from the city, one within driving distance and one a flight away by the water. The two board days show a leadership meeting in Manhattan for a small group. Each sample is a starting point; your local planner can change the venue, length and program to fit your team.
Other companies on this list publish their own work: each item below is that company's own description, quoted from its site, and we have not verified it. Hudson & Nine describes "Transforming a Raw Space for Atlantic Terminal’s 20th Anniversary Celebration" (hudsonandnine.com, checked on October 26, 2026). Empire Entertainment's page for The New York Times calls the event a "milestone celebration" (empireentertainment.com, checked on October 26, 2026). MM Event Group says its investment conference at Glasshouse "welcomed more than 790 attendees" (mmeventgroup.com, checked on October 26, 2026).

Frequently asked questions
How much does a corporate event planner in NYC cost?
None of the 12 ranked companies publishes a price, a minimum or its own planning fee (checked on October 26, 2026). EMRG Media's homepage describes the New York market as "a flat fee or a percentage of the total event budget", "around 10 to 20 percent", and the event itself is a separate number. Our event planner fees guide explains how fees are set.
Do any NYC event companies publish their prices?
Not on the pages checked for this shortlist. EMRG Media says "Every event is quoted individually", and Ray Bloch Productions offers "transparent, line-item budgets" (checked on October 26, 2026). Ask each company for a written quote that shows the planning fee next to the event cost.
What is the difference between a corporate event planner and a production company?
A planner or full-service agency takes on the whole event, from venue and suppliers to the run of the day. A production company focuses on staging, AV, lighting and show-calling, as Ray Bloch Productions describes on its technical page. Many firms do both, such as Empire Entertainment and MM Event Group.
Is a DMC a kind of local planner?
Yes. A DMC (destination management company) is one kind of local planner, focused on venues, transport, staffing and logistics in its city for visiting groups. The Shackman Group describes its work as "New York City destination management and corporate event production". Our guide explains what a DMC is.
How far ahead should you book a corporate event planner in NYC?
It depends on size. EMRG Media says, "For the largest events, 1,000 to 2,000 guests or more, we recommend six months to a year" (checked on October 26, 2026). For a smaller event, ask each planner about venue availability for your dates before you commit.
Can a New York planner run an event outside the city?
Yes. A Closer Look Events lists "luxury destination offsites", and Rafanelli Events covers incentive trips (checked on October 26, 2026). Vantly covers "Anywhere in the US", and its samples include The Princeton Escape, about 1.5 hours from New York. See company offsites in New York and our corporate retreats guide.
What should a custom event quote include?
At minimum: venues, an agenda, what is included and excluded, and the planning fee shown separately from the event cost. Vantly's final quote "explains event costs, planning fees, inclusions and exclusions" (getvantly.com, checked on October 26, 2026). Our guide on what to ask in a custom event quote has a checklist.
