What is EventWeis?

EventWeis is a Dallas event planning company founded in 2017 by Cheryl Weis, its founder and CEO. On the firm's about page, Cheryl describes leaving a career as an IT project manager in 2014 to move into hospitality, and building a structured planning method she calls the Strategic Event Path. The site credits her with more than twenty years of project management experience and more than 150 events across corporate conferences, executive meetings, fundraisers and galas. Retreats lead the list of event types the firm designs and delivers on its home page. Under "Executive Strategy Retreats," EventWeis describes immersive offsite gatherings meant to help senior leaders recalibrate direction, strengthen alignment and leave with an actionable roadmap, with room for deeper thinking and open dialogue. Its team and culture work lists retreats, board meetings, offsites and workshops alongside employee recognition and holiday parties, and the firm's corporate page says it handles everything from a small executive retreat upward, covering concept, budgeting, design, logistics, entertainment, catering and follow-up. The published case studies show the project-management habit in practice. When rain moved DFW Airport's United Way kickoff indoors three days out, the firm says it redesigned the midway across three indoor spaces, worked through each vendor's rain plan, moved the grilling offsite and swapped out attractions that couldn't run indoors. For Boss Vision Con at Saltbox in Carrollton, it adapted an open room and warehouse into a main stage and breakout space on a tight budget, negotiating stage backdrops through a supplier partnership. The company lists its values as pragmatic, unflappable, ownership, structure, hospitality and integrity, and serves Dallas, Plano, Frisco, Irving and the wider North Texas region. For a leadership team that wants a carefully organized offsite close to home, EventWeis offers a planner with a project manager's sense of process.
