What is Fifth Street DMC?

Fifth Street DMC is a woman-owned destination management company based in Austin, and on its site says it has been crafting corporate events since 1999. Kaitlyn Dineen is founder and CEO, and Buffy Lamm is president. The firm now works across three regions, Texas, Montana and, through the team formerly known as Mosaix Group, the Carolinas, and on its site describes its approach as building programs that "capture the essence of a place." Leadership groups are a recurring thread in the published portfolio. For a hospitality leadership group that brought leaders of luxury hotels, plus their spouses, to Austin for four days, Fifth Street built the program around the Four Seasons. It moved the general session out of the ballroom and into Arlyn Studios, where Austin musicians helped teams write and record their own song, ran a separate spouse program with hat fittings and a distillery tasting, and closed with a finale on a working film set at Troublemaker Studios. For a national professional association's 2024 leadership conference, the firm sourced and produced an offsite night for its senior leaders at Inn Cahoots, starting from the first venue search. The firm's work outside Austin follows the same pattern. An executive team from a global biopharmaceutical company spent a week in Big Sky, Montana, with a chairlift ride to dinner at Everett's 8800 and a private rodeo at Lone Mountain Ranch; the firm calls it its largest Montana program to date. A heavy equipment dealer brought its top performers to Sage Lodge in Paradise Valley for a four-day incentive trip. Larger meetings make up much of the rest. Fifth Street themed the whole of Fairmont Austin as a road trip for a global cybersecurity company's sales kickoff, its first in person since 2019, handling arrivals, transportation and dine-arounds across Austin. For Conscious Capitalism's annual CEO Summit at Hyatt Regency Lost Pines, it designed the session room for the summit's CEOs, presidents and founders, swapping banquet chairs for lounge seating, each October from 2021 through 2023. Other Austin entries include a race night at Circuit of the Americas for a global energy company's franchise owners and executives and a three-day client seminar for ALFA International at Lost Pines, with goat yoga and armadillo racing among the team activities. In the Carolinas, the portfolio includes a three-day sales kickoff in Greenville for a global IT distributor.
