What is Next Level Event Design?
Next Level Event Design is a corporate event management and experiential agency based in Chicago. Cathy Genetti founded the firm in 2009 and has since grown it into a company producing events around the globe. On its site the firm names Google, Boston Consulting Group, the University of Chicago and Sidley Austin among its clients, and its work covers strategy and design, project management and on-site execution. Retreats and multi-day programs feature in the published case studies. The firm's ChicagoPalooza program was a family-focused company retreat at a resort in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, with dozens of customized activities packed into less than two days across a property of golf courses and wilderness. It was planned on an eight-week lead time and opened with a hillside welcome reception with fire pits, lawn games and an acoustic duo. When a severe thunderstorm moved in before the festival concert on a private airport runway, the team moved furniture under cover, opened an indoor game room early and rebuilt the site before guests arrived. For another client, the firm handled the creative vision, decor and entertainment for an annual partner retreat in Boca Raton, with more than 30 distinct events over six days. Conferences and summits make up much of the rest of the portfolio. "Pave the Way," a global sales summit in Palo Alto for international guests, was planned remotely from Chicago and included a welcome reception and a black-tie awards gala. In Chicago, the firm produced BigCommerce's eCommerce Growth Summit for partners and customers ahead of a citywide convention. The firm's site carries client testimonials, one of which describes working with the team for almost two decades. The firm's site also shows ballroom dinners and lounge-style networking spaces.
