What is Perk Events?

Perk Events is a full-service event company based in Seattle. It describes its approach as combining marketing know-how with event production, and says event strategy is its "sweet spot": deciding what kind of event to host, who needs to be in the room and what guests should do afterward, before any logistics are planned. Its listed services run from goal setting, budgets and contract negotiation to venue and food and beverage logistics, travel logistics, registration, onsite support and post-event reporting. The company was founded by Molly Klein, its CEO. Its site describes Molly Klein as a former chief marketing officer of a law firm and a former director of community engagement for an initiative supporting female founders, with board roles at Girls on the Run and Be Bold for Change and a mentoring role at the University of Washington's CoMotion Lab. Two company retreats are documented. On its own site, Perk Events presents a multi-day retreat at Hotel del Coronado for the law firm Foster Garvey, designed to make attorneys and guests feel valued and to show the firm as a great place to work. The team built agenda options around leadership's goals, created a custom system to generate a personalized itinerary for every guest, coordinated activities and dining across several days, handled all attendee communications and ran the program on site from load-in to load-out. The company reports that several attendees called it the best retreat they had attended at any firm. In a 2023 LinkedIn post, Molly Klein wrote that she had helped Artemis Connection "build, develop content for, and execute their annual company retreat." Christy Johnson, founder and CEO of Artemis Connection, replying to the post, thanked her for structuring the retreat and noted that, as a distributed company, the team's time together in person was precious. The rest of the published portfolio leans toward celebrations and client events, including the GeekWire Gala, a fundraising gala for Backpack Brigade, a client dinner for Schwabe and an economic symposium.
