Q3 Sales Kickoff (SKO) destinations from Atlanta

Atlanta's Q3 shortlist moves away from the Southeast coast: Nashville, Beaver Creek, San Diego and Napa. Late summer is the peak of the Atlantic hurricane season, and the coast is at its hottest and wettest, so this quarter favors inland and western picks.

July through September is the hardest quarter for a coastal Southeast kickoff. Highs sit around 90°F, and NOAA puts the busiest stretch of the hurricane season between mid-August and mid-October. Mountain and Pacific coast options stay much cooler.

August
90°F / 69°F (32°C / 21°C)
September
84°F / 62°F (29°C / 17°C)

Nashville is the closest summer option for Atlanta and works best in September, when the average high eases to about 84°F. July and August run near 90°F, so keep those months for indoor programs.

Venue types for about 50–300 people: Large convention hotel (200–300+); Downtown conference hotel; Historic hotel or event hall.

Nashville sits well inland, so the Atlantic hurricane season matters far less here than on the coast.
