Q2 Sales Kickoff (SKO) destinations from SF Bay Area

San Francisco has five Q2 options. Napa, Monterey and Lake Tahoe are drives, and San Diego and Santa Barbara are short flights. Spring gives each one a different mood, from green vineyards in April to an open lake in June.

Napa, Santa Barbara and San Diego are mild in spring, from the high 60s to the low 70s. Monterey stays cool in the low 60s. Tahoe only warms up in June, when highs approach 70°F.

Staying local.

Napa is about 50 miles north of San Francisco, roughly 1 to 1.5 hours by car. Head south on US-101 for Monterey, about 2 hours; Tahoe sits 3.5 to 4 hours east via I-80.

A sample two- to three-day agenda.

In Napa, hold sessions in the morning and move to a vineyard dinner. Monterey suits a golf afternoon or a coastal walk. At Tahoe in June, plan a beach or boat outing. San Diego and Santa Barbara both suit a waterfront reception.

  1. Day 0. Arrivals and a welcome reception.
  2. Day 1. CEO or CRO keynote, product and compensation-plan sessions, segment breakouts, and a team dinner.
  3. Day 2. Enablement workshops and role-play, a customer or partner panel, and an awards night.
  4. Day 3, optional. A half-day leadership session, then departures.
