TeamOut Review (2026): Who It's For
TeamOut is a strong choice if you have been handed the company retreat and want a curated venue shortlist quickly, with TeamOut's trip designers helping on planning and logistics. Independent reviews are still scarce, so most of its social proof is its own. If you want a designer who lives in the destination, that is a different job.
TeamOut at a glance: ratings and review coverage
We looked for every public rating we could find and dated each one. Independent coverage of TeamOut is thin, and one well-known number on its homepage comes from TeamOut itself, so we have labeled each source carefully.
| Source | What we found (checked 5 Oct 2026) | How to read it |
|---|---|---|
| G2 | Could not be checked. The page returned an access block to our automated check. ChatGate (updated September 2026) reports that G2 shows "not enough reviews" for TeamOut to give buying insight. | Secondary reporting only. No G2 score is used here. |
| Product Hunt | 5.0 based on 4 reviews. | The clearest dated third-party sample, but a very small one. |
| Capterra | No meaningful TeamOut listing found. | Not usable as of October 2026. |
| SaaSHub | 0 reviews shown. | Not usable. |
| Trustpilot | No meaningful TeamOut volume found. | Not usable. |
| Google Business / Maps | No clear public review profile found for TeamOut as a B2B brand. | Not usable. |
| Automated reads were blocked. | No Reddit quotes used. | |
| TeamOut's own homepage | Shows "Rated 4.8 by 360 users." | TeamOut's own claim, hosted on its site. It is not a G2 or Capterra rating. |

What TeamOut is
TeamOut calls itself a retreat platform, and it speaks directly to people who did not expect to plan an event. Its homepage opens with "You got put in charge of the company event." and continues, "We've done this 3,000 times." (teamout.com, as of October 2026).
The public model is venue-led. TeamOut offers a large catalog of hotels, resorts and unique spaces, alongside in-house trip designers who help with planning, vendors and logistics. It offers two public paths, Venue Sourcing and Event Planning, and lists event types from offsites and sales kickoffs to client events and simple meetings.
TeamOut also makes several process claims on its site. It says it sends recommendations within one business day, returns quotes in under 24 hours, and secures average accommodation discounts of 10โ30%. These are TeamOut's own marketing claims rather than independently verified figures.
Who TeamOut is for, and who it may not suit
TeamOut is likely a good fit when:
- You have been handed the company event and want a curated venue shortlist, fast.
- You like starting from venues, then having TeamOut's trip designers help with planning, vendors and logistics.
- You want one platform relationship for sourcing and, if you choose, fuller planning support.
TeamOut may be less of a fit when:
- You want a local event designer who lives in the destination. TeamOut's trip designers work from a venue-first catalog, which is a different model from a designer based where you are going.
- You would prefer a self-serve marketplace with an optional flat-fee planning service, which is closer to Offsite.com.
- You need enterprise procurement across many events, where tools such as Naboo or Cvent are designed for that scale.
What people praise about TeamOut
The independent praise we found comes mainly from Product Hunt, where the sample is small but the comments are specific. TeamOut's own site adds testimonials, which we note separately as first-party.
Time saved compared with DIY venue hunting. One reviewer wrote, "TeamOut was a big time-saver for me. Hard to go back to the old way of looking at corporate event planning." (Hugo Roussel, via Product Hunt, as of October 2026).
A smooth, all-in-one booking experience. Another community review on the same page described TeamOut as a "simple, smooth all-in-one solution to book an offsite."
Clear messaging for accidental planners. TeamOut's homepage features testimonials from roles such as an Executive Business Partner at Strava, praising support from venue sourcing through to invoicing. These are first-party testimonials hosted by TeamOut, but they show who the service is designed for.
Fast shortlists and quotes. TeamOut's one-business-day recommendations and sub-24-hour quotes are a recurring part of its pitch. Treat them as the company's own process claims.
Watch-outs and thin coverage
TeamOut has a clear, well-targeted offer. The points below are less about problems and more about what the public evidence can and cannot tell you yet.
- Independent coverage is thin. G2 reportedly shows too few reviews for buying insight, and Product Hunt has four. Most social proof is first-party.
- The homepage rating is TeamOut's own. "Rated 4.8 by 360 users" is hosted on TeamOut's site, so it should not be read as a G2 or Capterra score.
- European venue depth may be lighter. The same Product Hunt reviewer wrote, "The number of venues is growing, but I would love some more European coverage! (The choice in America is endless)." For US-based teams, this may matter less.
- Discount figures are marketing claims. The 10โ30% accommodation discount and similar savings figures come from TeamOut's site, so ask how they apply to your own dates.
TeamOut pricing
TeamOut does not publish a simple public fee card for its planning services on its homepage, so you should expect a custom conversation for a quote.
Some venue cards on the site show nightly price ranges. Those ranges belong to individual venues and are not TeamOut's own service fee. Secondary write-ups sometimes mention directional per-person figures, but we have not treated them as a current rate card. TeamOut also says its pricing is transparent with no hidden fees, which you can confirm against your own quote.
When a local event designer fits better
TeamOut is strongest when you want to start from a venue catalog with help from its trip designers. If what you actually want is someone who already lives in the destination and knows its estates and vendors firsthand, that is a different job, and it is the job Vantly is built for.
To be clear about the difference: TeamOut's trip designers plan from TeamOut's venue catalog. Vantly's local event designers live and work in the region you are visiting. They know its estates, caterers and quieter corners, and they design a tailor-made plan around your team rather than starting from a list of venues.
On your side, Vantly is one point of contact with one invoice. We are US-first and strongest around New York, where most of our sample events sit about one to three hours from Manhattan. Those sample events are examples only.
Frequently asked questions

TeamOut's public positioning speaks to anyone handed the company event, rather than to one team size. Please confirm group-size fit and any minimums with TeamOut for your dates.
